AN IDEAL SPACE

(Living in the midst of the hustle-bustle of an overcrowded city makes one realise that an ideal space is a rare find , but it can have a permanent residence, within).

A brook bubbles past and lining the bank are huge trees, dark green leaves and equally dark trunks. A sense of peace pervades the air. The mossy undergrowth is cool to the naked feet. The cool chill air invigorates the senses. The small shrubs have  flowers with colors of the rainbow.

One sits on the wet mossy ground, back against one of the wide trunks savoring the cool calmness of this place. The azure blue sky totally free of clouds has hidden the sun but not its light that streams below, illuminating without being hot. Its seclusion is the USP of this place which is hidden from prying eyes. There is no sound bar that of the brook as it gurgles by in anticipation of its enthusiastic mingling with the ocean. The birds are chirping but quietly as if aware of the serenity of the place and knowing not to break the divine silence. The butterflies and the bees flit around the flowers, their din is a gentle music to the ears.

The symphony of nature is complete with the gentle hum of the cool breeze as it plays hide and seek with the branches. Has anyone ever caught the wind? The cool mossy undergrowth, the short grasses that cover the whole forest are so cool to touch, they are the balm for the tired feet that have traipsed through the world in the hurry to complete all the duties that life has forced on one, all the duties that have to be fulfilled.  Do them because you want to and not for the appreciation that you think you deserve. An universal code of consciousness exists; are spoken words the only way to convey thoughts and emotions? Those who don’t get it might not want to be a part of this picture, yet.

Such a serene atmosphere! In its loving fold, introspection, peace and creativity glide in, imperceptibly. Heaven.
